Come get cozy with Nevler and Lin for a night of music and mooncakes on Thursday, November 13 at Yu & Me Books! Nevler and Lin, two multiracial Asian songtresses, will play original songs together from each of their upcoming EPs. Nevler’s is called “A Handful of Moons,” and Lin’s is called “Sweeten the Pot.” Together, they make “Sweeten the Moon!” Our friend Laurie will have homemade mooncakes for sale.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Sameer Project. So come meet us for a night of warmth and community!
Doors open at 7, and the show will start at 7:30.
Lin is a New York-born, San Francisco-raised singer/songwriter. She fell in love with music and guitar at age 14, when she wrote her first song, and has been writing ever since. With rock music as her first musical love and folk music as her current practice, she blends fingerpicked riffs with the bright warmth of electric guitar. Her song Better Days is currently available on streaming platforms. You can follow her on Instagram and TikTok at @lin.liketwtotrees.

Nevler combines moody production with a sweet vocal timbre to create something new. She considers her violin an extension of her voice, and she employs both melodic violin lines and ambient violin layers to add emotional depth to her work. Her music is romantic and bicoastal, caught between the natural beauty of California and the grungy sensuality of New York City. You can find her work at nevler.co.
